PIETRO SELICATO (Rome, 1955) is Professor of Tax Law in the University Sapienza of Rome – Department of Political Sciences (since 2005), where he holds the chairs of Public Finance Law and Comparative Tax Law and is Scientific Director of the Master in International Tax Planning.
He teached in the Universities of Chieti-Pescara (1992-1998), Teramo (1999-2001), LUISS Giudo Carli (2004-2007) and Guglielmo Marconi (2007-2010). He also teached domestic, international and comparative Tax Law in the School of Tax Police of the “Guardia di Finanza” (1987-2017).
Director of the Rivista di Diritto Tributario Internazionale (International Tax Law Review) (www.rdti.it), scientific journal owned by Sapienza University of Rome listed in the “A” class of the National public ranking.
Member of the board of the PhD course of “Diritto pubblico, comparato e internazionale” held in the Department of Political Sciences of Sapienza University of Rome.
Member of the Academic Committee of the EATLP – European Association of Tax Law Professors (since 2011).
Chairman of the Scientific Committee of ANTI – Associazione Nazionale dei Tributaristi Italiani.
Practices as lawyer (since 1979) in the fields of tax law and company law. Is authorized (since 1998) in defense before the High Corts. Certified auditor (since 1985).
Author of several books, essays and articles on domestic, international, European and comparative tax law.
