Carlotta Bassoli is an archaeologist and PhD degree who currently works as a professional freelance. Since 2016 she is President of Associazione Nazionale Archeologi’ s branch of Lazio. She graduated in Conservazione dei Beni Culturali (Archaeology) at the University of Tuscia-Viterbo and specialized in Classical Archeology at the University of Milan. During her studies she acquired specific skills in the analysis of ceramic assemblage towards statistic methods, particularly from the Roman period. She partecipated to the International project (LRCWMED Archaeology and Archaeometry of Late Roman Cooking Wares in the Western Mediterranean: a holistic approach), which allowed her to improve knowledges the scientific disciplines (chemical and petrographic analysis), applied to archaeology.
Since 2003 she has been carrying out an intense and continuous professional activity mainly with the Archaeological offices of Ministry of Cultural Heritage in Rome and Lazio and she coordinates archaeological research in the ancient Phoenician city of Bithia on behalf of the Soprintendenza di Cagliari.
